Yesterday, president Muhammadu Buhari visited some of the wounded troops that were attacked by the Boko Haram insurgents in Maiduguri, Borno State. As pictures of his visit to the wounded troops surfaced, former aide to president Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri made comparison between the president’s body language and that of his former boss who similarly visited wounded troops while he was in office. He said, “The difference between a ruler and a leader. Muhammadu Bubari went to Maiduguri to see our troops in hospital and waved to them like a star. Goodluck Jonathan did the same thing four years ago and he touched the soldiers and felt their pain. You can fake a visit. You can’t fake compassion.”
