Chrisland accussed of not revealing female student was gang raped at school competition

Music executive, Ubi Franklin has revealed that his friend’s daughter was raped during a school competition in Dubai and later suspended from the school.

He stated on Twitter that the girl’s parent got to know after another parent alerted them.

The girl was chosen to represent the school at the world school game in Dubai when the incident happened.

“Just got off the phone with a friend of mine. His 10 year daughter old was selected to represent the school at the World School Game in Dubai. His daughter was raped by her fellow student, video taped it and posted on Instagram and the school concealed it for a month.

“He found out on his own when another parent called his wife and showed his wife the video of her 10 year old daughter.

“I have listened to some confessional statements from some teachers and I am begging this should rather be a dream.

“The school took the girl from her parents that they wanted to conduct a COVID test on her but the school rather took the girl for a pregnancy test. As we speak, the girl has been suspended from the school.

“Just left my friend’s residence, you will weep if you see my friend and his wife.

“How can Chrisland do this? It took you a month to tell her parents. Sent her a suspension letter after her family started raging cruel and disgusting.”

Pupils from the elite high school travelled to Dubai in March to compete in the World School Games. The school was recognized for putting on a spectacular show and won 34 medals.

Authorities at Chrisland School on Victoria Island Garden City alerted the girl’s father in a letter dated April 14, 2022, that she had engaged in “improper behaviour” after playing the truth-or-dare game, describing her as a “major participant.”

“It was discovered that your daughter was involved in an improper behavior during the recently concluded World School Games in Dubai,” the letter reads in part.

”(Name withheld) with a few of her counterparts wilfully participated in a game they called “Truth or Dare’, a game which led her and a few other co-learners to carry out immoral act after the lights out instruction was given,

“In line with our core values centred on discipline, Chrisland Schools have zero tolerance for any improper behaviour and misconduct,” the school stated in a letter signed by its principal, Georgia Azike.

The school also stated that a comprehensive investigation had been conducted, and that the parents of the erring co-learners had been told, as well as the importance of cooperating with the school so that the responsible pupils may be

Another part of the letter reads; ”In the course of the school efforts to see how best we can help (name withheld) who was a major participant in the whole incident, every effort to inform you as her parent about the incident and ensure that this improper behaviour is permanently corrected, has proved to be futile

”(Name withheld) is hereby placed on indefinite suspension until you as the parents ensure that she is punished, adequately counselled and rehabilitated.”

Other students involved in the game were suspended, according to the school, and the girl and her parents refused to participate during the investigation.

“Consequently, [name redacted) is hereby placed on indefinite suspension until you as the parents ensure that she is punished, adequately counselled and rehabilitated,” the school said.

According to friends of the father’s, a pregnancy test was performed, and the school first kept the situation quiet. Chrisland’s spokesman did not respond to a request for comment on the claims.

This development is coming a few years after Adegboyega Adenekan, a ssupervisor in the school was sent to jail for raping a minor.
