Award winning prolific writer, feminist and activist, Chimamandah Ngozi Adichie has added another feather to her cap with the conferment of a honorary degree by the University of Fribourg, Switzerland.

The mother of one who shared the news on her Instagram page talked about the stimulating conversations she had with her fellow honorees. During the week before the ceremony, Adichie also gave lectures and seminars in the English Department.

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie is a well-decorated woman. From 2015 to date, she received invitations to speak at prestigious universities. These include Wellesley College, Williams College, Harvard University, and Yale University.

To add to her achievements, she has also given two TEDx talks. In May of 2019, Chimamanda received an honorary degree from Yale University. She was one of fifteen women that guest editor Meghan Markle, Duchess of Sussex selected for the cover of the September 2019 British Vogue.
