Popular musician, Charles Oputa, a.k.a Charly Boy, who is leading the on going #ResumeorResign protest in Abuja against President Buhari who has spent the last 90 days in London on medical leave, collapsed due to the inhalation of tear gas canisters shot at him and other protesters.
The daily sit-out protest embarked upon by a coalition of Civil Society Organisations, CSOs, with Charly Boy and Deji Adeyanju spear heading it, turned sour when the anti-riot policemen began firing tear gas canisters and high velocity stream of water to disperse them.
A journalist with Silverbird television and one other protester also got wounded and are being treated at a clinic at the Federal Secretariat complex.
The group is demanding that the Senate furnishes Nigerian with details of Buhari’s medical records to avail Nigerians of what he is actually suffering from and to also resign if he is incapable of continuing his duties as the president of Nigeria.
