Burna Boy, Teniola Apata, Rema and Falz were among those nominated for the 13th edition of the Headies Awards. The full nominee’s list was released on Tuesday after the awarding body had opened its doors for nominations on September 21, to recognize outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry.

Among the music stars who garnered the most nominations are Burna Boy, who amassed a total of eight nominations including for categories like ‘Best Recording Artiste of the Year’ and ‘Best Top Single’; Teni, who was nominated in seven categories; and Falz who had five. Rema also secured two nominations for ‘Song of the Year’ and ‘Next Rated’.

Winners of the various categories of the award will be awarded at the event that will hold on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at the Eko Convention Center, Victoria Island.
