History was made at the just concluded New York Fashion Week when a group of inspiring women who fought breast cancer came together to walk the runway for lingerie brand, AnaOno. Owned by Dana Donofree, a breast cancer survivor herself, she put on an inspiring runway show to highlight the strength of the women who have overcome or are still fighting the disease. Donofree, who launched the lingerie brand for breast cancer survivors and those who are post-mastectomy in 2014, partnered with non-profit support organization #Cancerland to create the runway show.

According to Donofree, “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to show that these inspiring women walking our runway are no different than any other woman walking New York Fashion Week, or sitting in the audience or even riding the subway or walking into your neighborhood coffee shop.”
“We want to show that whether you have been diagnosed with breast cancer or have a genetic marker, have breasts or have none, have visible scarring or even tattoos in place of nipples, it doesn’t matter. You are still empowered, strong and sexy!”

Money raised through tickets sales for the show went into helping breast cancer patients through #Cancerland.
