The 53-year-old who has been through a stint in rehab and which has led him to reflect on life, is now having a rethink on his split from Jennifer Aniston in 2005.
Brad Pitt had left Jennifer Aniston for Angelina Jolie after the pair met on the set of ‘Mr And Mrs Smith’ in 2004. Brad Pitt who was married to Jennifer Aniston for five out of the seven years they were together, walked out of the marriage. But now the actor has addressed his past, and attempted to make amends for his mistakes.
Determined to apologise for everything he put her through, Brad held an intimate conversation with Jennifer, the first they ever had in a long while. The talk reportedly gave the pair a new level of closeness.
According to Metro UK, a source said Jennifer was said to have been overcome with emotion. All the hurt feelings and resentment she’d suppressed for years came flooding to the surface, and she broke down in tears.
“He apologised to Jennifer for being an absentee husband, for being stoned and bored much of the time. He also made amends for leaving her for Angelina.”
In an interview in 2013, Brad had said that he fell in love with Angelina because she made him feel alive.
“For a long time I thought I did too much damage, drug damage. I was a bit of a drifter. A guy who felt he grew up in something of a vacuum and wanted to see things, wanted to be inspired. I followed that other thing. I spent years f***ing off. But then I got burnt out and felt that I was wasting my opportunity.
While Jennifer went on to marry Justin Theroux in August 2015, Brad split from Angelina Jolie a year after they got married and nine years of being together.
