Over the weekend, popular South Africa’s television and radio personality, Bonang Matheba held the launch of her highly anticipated book, A to B of Bonang Matheba just weeks after throwing herself a strictly by invitation lavish birthday party.

While the décor for the book launch was breathtaking and classy, the same cannot be said of the contents of the book. Despite the good sales realized from the book, some South Africans who bought the book in earnest have reportedly taken her to the cleaners for the errors, the mediocre grammer and style of writing which they have described as amateurish.

A number of South Africans didn’t take kindly to her as they took to twitter to express their disgust with the typos and errors.

Meanwhile the publisher of the book, Thabiso Mahlape has said that she takes full responsibility for the errors’.
“I take full responsibility for what happened. The last thing I want is for black people to be accused of mediocrity and I should do better. It’s on me as the publisher. I ought to have done better,” she said.

She also challenged critics to point out the grammatical errors, as according to her, there are only two pages with mistakes.

With all the melt down about her book on social media, Baonang refused to let it dampen her spirit, saying, “We will be the sacrificial lambs. We will take the rubbish so that those [black girls’] that come after us don’t have to.”

The book is said to be a reflection of Bonang’s career, the abuse she endured in her previous relationship, and everything basically about her life.
