Bolaji Abdullahi, former spokesman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has disclosed his interest in the governorship seat of Kwara state.  Abdullahi made his intention known when family and friends visited him to celebrate Sallah at his residence in Illorin. The former minister said he is seeking to be governor to make a difference in Kwara. He said it is unfortunate that the young people of the state were divided along the line of those who hate Senate President Bukola Saraki and those who like him.

“As of today, it is unfortunate that the young people of Kwara are being divided along the line of those who love Saraki and those who hate him. It is wrong, and unconscionable that the youth should be exploited this way. If Insha Allah, I am elected, I will be the governor that unites all for the good of our state. If anything goes wrong, I will take responsibility and fix it, and if things go right, I will share the glory with all of you here who place your trust in me,” Abdullahi said.

Abdullahi resigned as spokesman of the APC on August 1. He said he quit because his “loyalty is constantly brought into question”.
