After her fantastic performance at the Farafina Trust Creative Writing Workshop, legendary Nigerian writer, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, has been announced as one of the recipients for the 2018 Barnes and Nobles Writers for Writers Awards. The announcement was made by the Chairman of Poet and writers Board of Directors, Susan Issacs, on the 20th of November 2017, in a press statement on the organization’s website. In her post, Susan said “We receive nominations from writers, publishing professionals, and others in the literary community.

“From the information about the nominees and their accomplishments, we select three writers and an editor who exemplify Poets & Writers’ core values: service, integrity, inclusivity, and excellence. This year’s honorees are models of those qualities. The Board is delighted to be able to honor them. Their work makes me proud to be part of this community.”

The 2018 honorees include: Chimamanda Adichie, Steve Canon, Richard Russo and Rebecca Saletan.
