It looks like all has been settled between singer, 9ice and rapper and actor, FalzThabadGuy. Falz appears to have made peace with 9ice after the former inadvertently accused the latter of promoting fraud in his songs. The duo made out time to have lunch and squash any beef between them while also assuring their fans that all is well and settled.
In a video posted on his instagram which he captioned, Don’t get it twisted, Falz born Folarin Falana calls 9ice his uncle, adding that there was no fight between them as there is nothing like Falz versus 9ice.
See video below
Recall that Falz in an interview with Hip Tv last week had stirred the hornets’ nest when he asked his colleagues in the music industry to shun fraud glorification in their songs. The comedic singer said that hailing fraudsters was more or less like glorifying something wrong and advised that artists should desist from doing so as they are mostly seen as role models who youngsters look up to.
His advise suddenly assumed a different dimension when many assumed that he was referring to singer, 9ice even though he made no mention of 9ice or any of his colleagues. 9ice recently released a single, ‘Living Things’ which allegedly glorifies internet fraudsters, otherwise known as Yahoo boys.
Several celebrities took sides on the issue. While some supported Falz on grounds of morality, others were of the opinion that Falz had no moral grounds to appear to sound good while others felt that Nigerians in general were to blame for supporting artists of yore who glorified fraud and got away with it.
Well 9ice on his part not only granted an interview where he reiterated that the said single, ‘Living Things’ doesn’t promote fraud, he also fired back at Falz, asking him to notify the authorities if he thinks he is glorifying fraud with his music.
But from the above video, it is obvious peace between the duo has been restored.
