That Anambra State’s first lady, Ebele Obiano is a lover of the good things of life cannot be over emphasized. From good homes to luxury wonders on wheels to designer clothes to first class trips to exotic places on vacation, to diamond jewelry or jewelries with precious stones – the list is endless. But one particular accessory that the first lady loves without a doubt, is sunglasses.

Unlike her husband the governor, William Obiano who has only a few, Mrs Obiano who was once his secretary before becoming his wife, has a variety of them. She would go to any length to source for the best of sunglasses and naturally, they do not come cheap.

For every function she attends, either in company with her husband the governor, William Obiano or all by herself while discharging her duties as the first lady of the state, Ebele will alway turns out dressed to the T and compliment her outfit with a pair of sunglasses from her sizeable collection.

From Gucci to Versace to Prada to Burberry, Chloe, Fendi, Tom Ford and several others, Mrs Obiano has them in her collection and she switches them based on her mood or her choice of outfit but never according to the occasion as can be deduced from the pair she wore sometime last year that caused a stir.

While there was nothing wrong with the limited-edition Gucci mask sunglasses itself, it was considered inappropriate for several reasons. The occasion was not only a church funeral and most definitely out of place, fashion stylists and connoisseurs were of opinion the sunglasses laced with 1600 multi-colour Swarovski crystals can only be pulled off by an extremely stylish person who isn’t dressed in a complete traditional wear ensemble as she did on the said day.

But most importantly, in a country considered the poverty headquarters of the world, Mrs Obiano, the wife of a public servant is one of the 100 people in the world that own the limited-edition sunglasses which is now sold out. And what is more, the sunglasses is valued at $2,755 (about N995, 932.50).

Here are some of the times Mrs Obiano was photographed adorning some of her expensive pieces.
