The much awaited star studded comedy movie, ‘Alakada Reloaded’ finally made its debut in cinemas across the country on Friday May 26 to a huge audience. The comedy movie produced by Toyin Abraham parades a star-studded cast both from the English and Yoruba speaking sector, not excluding Nigerian comedians and music artistes.

They include Toyin Abraham herself, the lead actor, Ali Baba, Odunlade Adekola, Kehinde Bankole, Woli Arole, OAP Nedu, Helen Paul, Lilian Esoro, Annie Idibia, Bidemi Kosoko, Liz Da Silva, Lala Akindoju, Mr Latin, Iyabo Ojo and Gabriel Afolayan. The movie has been predicted by stakeholders to follow after ‘The Wedding Party’ in terms of ticket sales. ‘The Wedding Party’ garnered about N400 million nationwide in ticket sales, breaking the record previously held by AY Makun’s ‘30 Days in Atlanta.’

The third in a series, the first installment was released in 2009 followed by a sequel released in 2013. The movie is about a young lady, Yetunde Animashaun who has inferiority complex as a result of her poor background and therefore engages in the act of making up stories and lying about her financial and social status in order to fit in with the crowd.
