Urband highlife singer, Adekunle Gold has officially unveiled his band which he calls ‘The 79th Element’ named after the atomic number of Gold. Gold in its purest form is bright, soft, and malleable. It is one of the least reactive elements, solid under standard conditions and extremely valuable and Adekunle Gold says his band has all of these attributes.

The 79th Element band members are talented and well-known musicians in the industry. With their refined skills in music, the band is expected to take Adekunle Gold’s already brilliant stage presence to a different level.

The band members include Micheal Bakare as producer and music director of the band, Oladele Afolabi on drums, Babatunde Alaba on percussion, Ojekunle Ayodeji on the keyboard, Owa Ayo on Base guitar, Femi Leye lead guitar, Kosoko Adekunbi and Aigbokhan Martins backing vocals.

Recall that the singer had earlier revealed that he was no longer with YBNL records, owned by Olamide. According to him after two years of the initial signings with YBNL which is for two years, no artiste’s contract is renewed. He added that he had no plans of owning his own label any time soon.
