Mercy Aigbe and her husband Kazim Adeoti otherwise known as Adekaz, have both disputed claims that both Lanre Gentry, Mercy’s ex husband and Mercy herself have always been friends with both Adekaz and his now estranged wife Funsho Adeoti.
Mercy and the move marketer who have been an item for a while now, decided to go public with their relationship a week ago.
Reacting to the his ex wife’s new marital status, Gentry had uploaded an old photograph of both him and Mercy while they were still married standing beside Adekaz and Funsho and with the caption, “At last I thank God the truth is out this is just one out of many to God be the glory. I don’t need anyone’s comment please.”
This led many to conclude that both couples were friends and that Mercy was secretly dating Adekaz while still married to Gentry.
Adekaz and Mercy have now said the story making the rounds is far from the truth.
Adekaz says he and Lanre Gentry were never friends and only met at Kazim’s 40th birthday party about nine years ago. At the said party, Mercy and her then husband, Gentry, were guests just like many other Yoruba movie actors who graced the party and both Mercy and Lanre like others simply posed for photos with Adekaz and Funsho the same way other guests posed with the couple at the party
In addition, Mercy was never friends with Funsho as is being erroneously circulated in public
It was only after Mercy and Lanre Gentry had gone their separate ways that she and Adekaz became an item years later.
Adekaz and Funsho have also been separated for a while and Mercy reportedly has no hand in their separation.
