Jennifer Bowie, wife of Ghanaian actor, Chris Attoh, has been shot dead by an unknown gunman in Maryland, United States. The 44 year old was shot in the head in the parking lot of a Maryland office building by a black gunman on Friday. According to NBC 4, Jennifer Bowie had left the office in the 6300 block of Ivy Lane and was walking to her car when a man armed with a handgun approached her.

The Greenbelt Police Department said when she tried to run away, the man followed her and fired off multiple rounds, with at least one shot striking her. He then fled in a vehicle. Officers responded about 5.10 pm and found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound. She was declared dead at the scene. The assailant was described as black and having a thin build with black hair. He was wearing dark clothing and may have been in a blue car.

Bowie married Chris Attoh last year after he divorced his Nigerian wife and colleague, Damilola Adegbite. Just a few weeks ago, The actor deleted all photos of wife from his social media handle.

Co-workers said Jennifer’s office was on the first floor of the building. She was a Sales Director at Express Employment Professionals (Greenbelt Express), a private firm and a leading staffing provider in the U.S., Canada, and South Africa. The company offers comprehensive HR services to clients. -She was the former Regional Director for the U.S based LCA Vision, a provider of photorefractive keratectomy in the United States under the LasikPlus brand where she bagged seven awards for her hard work from 2008-2012.

Her trophies include: Regional Director of the year (2009), Who’s Who honored member of executives, professionals, and entrepreneurs (2012), Project management leadership and Profitability Region (2004-2009), Leadership Service Award with Project Integrity (2009), Outstanding Leadership Award (2008- 2010), Outstanding Leadership (2007-08) and Centers of Excellence (2006-2008). -She attended Walden University for her Business Administration and Management studies while grabbing her Bachelors (Applied Science – BASc) at the Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
