These table below shows the glaring similarities between the movie Dry by Nollywood actress and movie producer, Stephanie Linus and Behind the Veil a book by writer and lawyer, Daniella Madudu. Recall that the Daniella has accused Nollywood actress and movie producer, Stephanie Okereke-Linus of infringement on her intellectual property, saying that Stephanie’s award winning movie, ‘Dry’ is an adaptation of her written work, ‘Behind the veil’, without due authorization and therefore dragged Stephanie to a Federal High Court and is seeking N100 million in compensation.
Stephanie on her part has however denied the allegation claiming that the story for her movie, ‘Dry’ which focuses on child marriage and the attendant health complications, such as the Vesico-Vagina Fistula disease in northern Nigeria, is originally hers.
