Singer, Katy Perry is ready to put an end to her feud with Taylor Swift, and it is all thanks to the her latest diss song featuring Nicki Minaj in which the two stars slammed their individual nemesis.
Katy and Taylor’s feud started a few years ago, after Swift said in her interview with ‘Rolling Stone’ magazine that a ‘pop star’ tried to steal her dancers from under her, and it wasn’t long before the star was found to be Perry. Since then, it has been a bitter fight between the duo, one which reportedly led to Swift writing the award-winning song ‘Bad Blood’.
And so, days ago, Nicki Minaj dropped their hit song ‘Swish Swish’ where they lambasted their rivals; while Katy Perry dragged Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj went for Remy Ma.
The song trended for two days on Twitter and now, in her new feature in James Corden’s carpool karaoke, Katy says she is done feuding with her colleague and wishes to end it all.
“There’s a situation. Honestly, it’s really like she started it, and it’s time for her to finish it,” say 32-year-old Katy, adding that the dancers-stealing accusation is ‘so crazy’. “I tried to talk to her about it and she wouldn’t speak to me.
“But what I want to say is that I’m ready for that feuding to be over,” Katy said, adding, “I think personally that women together, not divided, and none of this petty bulls–t, women together will heal the world.”
It remains to be seen if Taylor Swift will accept the olive branch from her former friend.
