Governor Monday Okpebholo has appointed renowned broadcaster Sulaiman Aledeh as the substantive Managing Director of Edo Broadcasting Service (EBS), the state-owned TV and radio stations.

Confirming the appointment, the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua described Aledeh as an international journalist, editor-at-large, and strategic media and communication consultant while also highlighting his extensive experience in broadcast journalism.

“He brings over two decades of expertise in both radio and television broadcasting, having made significant contributions to esteemed international news outlets such as Al Jazeera, SABC, and GB News United Kingdom,” the statement read.

Prior to his appointment, Aledeh was a prominent news anchor at Arise News and regularly shared his insights on Classic FM.

A graduate of Philosophy from the University of Benin (1999), Aledeh began his media career while still a student at Edo Broadcasting Service.

He also holds a Master’s Degree in Humanitarian and Refugee Studies from the University of Lagos.
