Grammy winning singer, Ayodeji Balogun aka Wizkid has reignited his long-standing rivalry with singer, David Adeleke aka Davido, sparking a heated exchange with fans on social media.
The drama started on Tuesday after Davido announced his first single of 2024. The singer revealed the track will be a hit celebrating Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day.
However, Wizkid who seemed unimpressed, took to his X page to write, “Pussy boys dropping mid again.”
“Una don tire! Make una go rest small,” he added.
Although he did not mention Davido, but it was obvious it was a direct shot at Davido.
A fan of Davido, however, fired back, accusing Wizkid of chasing clout using Davido’s name.
The user wrote: “So if you no beef @davido your song won’t sell?”
Responding, Wizkid said: “I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent.”
Still unsatisfied, Wizkid dismissed Davido’s extensive discography as trash, arguing that his catalogue boasts superior songs.
He continued: “80 trash! We got 80 albums for any song y’all drop! Pussy boys.”
Davido is yet to respond to Wizkid’s digs.
In May, a fight ensued between Davido and Wizkid on X after Wizkid mocked him and Michael Collins Ajaere aka Don Jazzy, the Mavin Records head honcho.
Wizkid referred to Don Jazzy as an influencer while taunting Davido with a video of him on his knees, pleading and crying after a fan asked him to release new music.
Davido also retaliated, labeling Wizkid’s career as dead.
