Prophet Tomi Sylvester Arayomi head of the RIG Nation movement, along with his wife, Tema who also doubles as his assistant have been arrested by the Department of State Security, DSS.
The duo were arrested in Abuja on Good Friday morning as they disembarked their 9am Ibom Air flight from Lagos.
The orders were said to have been given by the Abuja Command of the secret police.
The charges against them is yet unknown.
This was disclosed by his twin brother, Tobi Arayomi, via his Instagram page, @tobiarayomi, around 12 pm.
According to Tobi, his brother was apprehended by operatives of the Department of State Services for alleged politics-related prophecies he made.
“Hello everybody, I need your help. I just received news that my brother has been detained by the Department of State Services, DSS in Nigeria. He has been arrested for political reasons, my brother and his wife, Tema.
“He just arrived in Lagos and they detained him at the airport. He is politically targeted because some of his prophetic words have troubled the government in Nigeria,” Tobi said.
The cleric in question had been making predictions about the 2023 Nigerian elections and the outcomes.
Arayomi has been featured on mainstream media including BBC, Revelation TV, the Times Malawi, TBN, Channels TV where he has been recognized for his national and personal prophetic accuracy. Tomi is a governmental prophet and has had the privilege of consulting prophetically with leaders of nations in their homes at the United Nations and in Parliament.
He was born as a twin on January 7th, 1987 and at the age of 16, started his own ministry serving as a pastor under Foundation Faith Church. He served there and planted 10+ churches on university campuses across the United Kingdom while he was studying Law at University of Hertfordshire.
He was later recognised for his apostolic and prophetic anointing and was commissioned under Christian International by Dr Bill Hamon and Dr Sharon Stone on the 13th November 2010 where he currently serves as one of its visionary leaders.
Arayomi is an author of 10 compelling books and until 2020, was the pastor of My Church Windsor which he co-pastored with Dr Sharon Stone.
Information gathered from his official Facebook page showed that Pastor Tomi was billed to be at his church branch in Abuja on April 7 for a programme.
