The chief executive officer (CEO) of Max Air, Bashir Mangal, has passed away.

A statement made available by the media consultant of the airline on Friday, December 23, said that Mangal died in the early hours of Friday after a brief illness.

The statement partly reads, “Inna lillahi wa inna Ilaihi rajiun! This is to announce the death of our beloved brother, Alhaji Bashir Barau Mangal, the CEO of Max Air.

“He died in the early hours of Friday, December 23, 2022. May Allah grant him Jannatul Firdaus.”

According to a family source, the funeral prayer for the deceased would take place in Katsina state today.
