The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has expanded his harem with the addition of another wife.

The new bride is a princess from Ijebu in Ogun State named Temitope Adesegun.

Her marital rites were performed at a ceremony in Magodo, Lagos on Monday.

Like his four previous weddings, he was conspicuously absent at the ceremony but was well represented by his palace officials.

A former personal assistant to the late Princess Aderenle Adeniran-Ogunsanya, Temitope holds degrees from prestigious institutions like Oxford University, Cambridge University, INSEAD Fontainebleau and Harvard University.

The Ooni had previously married five other women as his estranged wife and mother of his heir apparent, Naomi Silekunola’s replacement.

They are Olori Mariam Anako, an executive with Nestoil Limited; Dr Opeoluwa Elizabeth, a Scotland returnee and an IT executive; former beauty queen and fashion designer, Tobi Philips; Ashley Afolashade Folakemi Adegoke, a UK- based entrepreneur and philanthropist and Ronke Ademiluyi, founder of Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) and Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN).
