The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and his wife, Olori Mariam nee Anako, held a thanksgiving service to commemorate their wedding, which held in September.

This comes after the first-class monarch tied the knot with Princess Ashley Adegoke on Friday.

The thanksgiving held at the Ooni of Ife’s Palace on Sunday.

Olori Mariam was traditionally married the Ooni on the 6th of September.

This will be the fourth wife that the Ooni will be getting married to.

From Kogi State, Mariam grew up in Kwara State. She is a top shot at Nest Oil and a sister to the Yeye Oge of Ibogun Olaoparun Kingdom, Dr Railiat Anako Abdulsalam, a politician cum Oil and Gas mogul.

Abdulsalam is an ally to two of Ooni of Ife‘s sisters, Folashade Ogunwusi Fadiro and Shola Ogunwusi.

This development is coming months after his third wife, Queen Naomi Silekunola quit her marriage and moved out of the palace.

There are indications that despite the Ooni taking four wives within a space of one month, he is not yet hanging his boots as he plans to take two more wives in a ‘harem expansion programme.’

There is Ronke Ademiluyi, his longtime associate and the founder of Africa Fashion Week London (AFWL) and Africa Fashion Week Nigeria (AFWN).

Ronke is in charge of the Queen Moremi Initiative, a position bestowed on her by the Ooni and he also made her the global ambassador of Adire Odua.

He also plans to marry a highly cerebral lady, in the person of Temitope Adesegun, a former personal assistant to the late Princess Aderenle Adeniran-Ogunsanya.

Temitope is said to hold degrees from prestigious institutions like Oxford University, Cambridge University, INSEAD Fontainebleau and Harvard University.
