A 24-year-old lady identified as Annastasia Michael has written an open letter to the daughter of Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Sonia, offering to donate one of her kidneys to save her life.

The offer comes less than 24 hours after Sonia Ekweremadu, who is diagnosed with a rare kidney disease, made an appeal to members of the public to donate a kidney to save her life.

Annastasia, while responding to the appeal in a Facebook post on Tuesday, September 13, said that she was ready to offer one of her kidneys to Ekweremadu’s daughter if none of her family members could do that, adding that it is to prove that women can help women.

She also stated that she is making the donation for free, praying that her kidney should match Sonia’s.

Annastasia, in the Facebook post, disclosed that she had already forwarded a mail to the email address provided by Sonia, according to The Witness.

The post reads, “I (Annastasia Michael Olamma) want to donate one of my kidney to Sonia Ekweremadu to save her life.

“I have made up my mind to do this to prove women can help women.

“If anyone amongst her mum, dad, and siblings, are unable to donate one of their kidneys to save Sonia, then I will donate one of my kidneys to her, and I demand nothing in return.

“I pray my kidney matches with her own.

“I am a 24-year-old lady, and I don’t take alcohol. So, I believe my kidney is very healthy to donate.

“I have sent a message to her email helpsonialive@gmail.com. May God heal Sonia Ekweremadu.”
