A high court of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has ordered that the suspended Accountant General of the Federation (AGF), Ahmed Idris, and two others be remanded in prison custody pending the determination of their bail applications.

The presiding judge, Justice J. O. Adeyemi-Ajayi, made the order, On Friday, July 22, after Idris, and his co-defendants, Godfrey Olusegun Akindele, and Mohammed Kudu Usman pleaded not guilty to a 14-count charge in which they are accused of diverting about N109 billion public funds.

Justice J. O. Adeyemi-Ajayi adjourned the case until July 27, 2022.
