Bianca, wife of late Dim Chukwuemeka Odimegwu-Ojukwu, may have taken a slapping lesson from her late husband, following the resounding slap she dealt Ebelechukwu Obiano, the immediate past First Lady of Anambra State during the inauguration of Professor Charles Soludo as the governor of the state.

The late warlord himself did what his wife did in 1995.

He was speaking during a plenary session of the Abacha Constitutional Conference, when Umaru Dikko, (a former adviser to President Shehu Shagari and minister for transportation from 1979 to 1983.)  made some disparaging remarks about him.

Ikemba held his peace, and waited until Dikko got up.

He trailed Dikko to the toilet and slapped him!

The matter was reported to General Sani Abacha, who refused to intervene.

From that day on, Umaru Dikko was sober and respectful at the Constitutional Conference.

Ambassador Bianca Ojukwu did not make history yesterday with the farewell slap given to Ebele, she only repeated the history made by her very illustrious and distinguished husband.

Odumegwu-Ojukwu was a Nigerian military officer, statesman and politician who served as the military governor of the Eastern Region of Nigeria in 1966 and the leader of the breakaway Republic of Biafra from 1967 to 1970
