Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is about to fight the presidential battle of his life following a clash of his ambition with the political leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), legislator Bola Tinubu.

According to THISDAY’ s investigation, Osinbajo has been left with no choice than to throw his hat into the ring following the manner he was snubbed in London by the previous Governor of Lagos State.

Tinubu had returned earlier this month after spending over three months in London on medical vacation.

The two- term governor of Lagos State, whose health has been a bone of contention went through a knee surgery in London.

No fewer than thirty politicians, together with President Muhammadu Buhari, Governors Babajide Sanwo- Olu (Lagos), Umar Ganduje (Kano), Dapo Abiodun (Ogun), Kayode Fayemi (Ekiti), and Rotimi Akeredolu (Ondo), visited him in London.

The northern caucus within the House of Representatives led by Deputy Speaker, Hon. Ahmed Wase  visited the APC political leader and supported his cause for the 2023 presidency.

A source however revealed that Osinbajo arrived London to visit the national leader but was snubbed the VP throughout his medical vacation in London.

“Osinbajo arrived London to attend a conference and then, see Tinubu. As he arrived, he expected to see Tinubu however Tinubu left the city the next morning to avoid seeing him. Even Pastor Enoch Adeboye (General superintendent of the Redeemed Christian Church of God) had arrived a day earlier to see Tinubu, ” the source said

The source also disclosed that the vice president needs to make up his mind over his alleged presidential bid.

“Tinubu has ramped up his campaign and Osinbajo needs to be president but they both can not be president.  So, currently the die is cast for the battle of his life. He has not determined to run however a lot of individuals are mobilising him to run, ” the source explained.
