How time flies. It is already one year since the passing of Ibidunni Ighodalo, businesswoman, philanthropist and wife of 13 years to the senior pastor of Trinity House Church, Ituah Ighodalo. On Sunday, June 13th, the first leg of a memorial service was held in her honour at the Trinity House, Zion Centre. There were special song ministrations, prayers and tributes. A documentary chronicling her good deeds was broadcasted to members of the church during the memorial service.

The second leg of the memorial service also held on Monday June 14th at the same venue. This time, the duo of Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Senior Pastor of House on The Rock, Paul Adefarasin, paid glowing tributes to the late Ibidunni. Her daughter, Keke gave a special song ministration to the amazement of all present. Present at the Monday memorial service were the deputy governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, Asue Ighodalo, society woman, Ifeyinwa Ighodalo, the late Ibidunni Ighodalo etc.

A very benevolent woman to everyone she came in contact with, Ibidunni was found dead in her hotel room in Port Harcourt on the morning of June 14th 2020. She was in the garden city for a job she was handling, setting up Covid19 isolation centres. She was just a few weeks shy of celebrating her 40th birthday. Ibidunni who was the first ever Miss Lux, a crown she clinched in the early 90s, left behind two adopted children and two brothers, one of who is Dare Ajayi who was married to popular fashion designer, Olamide Agunloye.

Having gone through the difficulty of becoming a parent and suffering 11 failed In Vitro Fertilisation, IVF, she set up the Ibidun Ighodalo foundation, a for nonprofit foundation which helps to create awareness about infertility among couples, help couples become parents by offering them free fertility treatments such as IVF. She also ran the Elizabeth R, an event planning outfit, The Dorchester, an events centre and Avant Garde, a bridal outfit.
