There has been several speculations over the years since the demise of his wife, Alaere, that Timi Alaibe, former NDDC chairman and former governorship aspirant was either set to remarry or is already engaged to be married to someone. The most resonating of all was his intending marriage to former Miss World, Agbani Darego. So fierce was this speculation that the he denied having anything to do with the former beauty queen intimately, insisting that they were related. But the noise just won’t die down. Indeed, the duo were ‘practically joined’ together on the pages of several newspapers, magazines and online portals as no one believed he didn’t have any plans for Agbani even though they were never ever seen together. Well it looks like he has put to rest all forms of conspiracy theories and speculations by stepping out with a supposed partner at a high profile event, specifically, former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s 80th birthday party at the Eko Hotels and Suites. Timi isn’t known to make frivolous appearances at any event with any woman since death snatched his wife. That he made an appearance with a fair skinned younger woman on his arm at such an event is nothing short of a statement and the passing of a subtle message that he indeed has a partner and it isn’t Agbani Darego.
