Gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen yesterday abducted about nine passengers aboard a Toyota Sienna space car at Isua Akiko area of Ondo State. It was gathered that the passengers were Lagos bound from Abuja before the gun wielding men accosted the vehicle in which they were travelling.

The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the Info State Command, Mr. Tee-Leo Ikoro, however said one of the victims had been rescued.

A family member of one of the victims, Bamidele Ojo, confirmed that the kidnappers had demanded N100m ransom.

ASP Ikoro said efforts were on to ensure release of other victims.
Ikoro said the police were working with hunters, local vigilante and other agencies
