The deposed Emir of Kano, Mallam Sanusi II, has reportedly been arrested and banished to Nasarawa State, DailySun is reporting.
The embattled ex-Emir of Kano was moved out of the palace and escorted by some palace officials and security personnel to an undisclosed town in Nasarawa State where he will spend the rest of his life in exile.
Malam Sanusi was dethroned earlier today by the Kano State government under the watch of Abdullahi Ganduje. The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria’s removal was over disrespect to constituted authorities, an act contrary to part 3, section 13 of the Kano State Emirate Law 2019.
