Sequel to the news making the rounds in both mainstream and online media that the US Embassy denied the presiding Bishop of The Living Faith Church, more popularly known as Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo entry visa but granted comedian, Bovi Ugbomah same, the US Embassy has now dubbed such report as fake.

Earlier today, the media space was awash of news of the denial of entry visa to Bishop Oyedepo who then proceeded to create a scene at the US consulate before storming off. The originating media for that story is Thisday newspaper.

But now the US Embassy in Nigeria has declared that report as false news. In a post on their facebook page, it advised that the same way the manufactured item in the media is being circulated should also be the same way it should be defeated by communicating to everyone that it is completely false.

It said, “#FalseNews Alert! Be advised, the reports making the rounds about a visa being denied to Nigerian Bishop Oyedepo are false. If you have seen this manufactured item in the media, help defeat this #misinformation by communicating to everyone that it is completely false.”
