Jennifer Lopez other wise known as JLO is on the December cover of Instyle magazine dishing on her relationship with former MLB slugger, Alex Rodriguez (ARod), which she says is particularly easy, especially compared to her high profile romances with Oscar winner and actor, Ben Affleck or music entrepreneur, Diddy. The legendary singer details how the difference in media over the years now makes for an easier dating climate.

Here below are excerpts for her interview with the magazine:

On challenging the old stereotype about multihyphenate performers, especially female ones
I don’t understand why you can’t be an actress and a singer and dancer as well. Like, that’s how this whole business started. Entertainment! And why can’t you be funny and also be a dramatic actress? OK, some people can’t do both. But if they can, let them!”

On stars have it better now than they did in the ‘Bennifer’ days
“It was actually worse then. It was just crazy. Now at least I can show you who I am a little bit. Back then you just believed anything you read on the cover of a tabloid. Many times it wasn’t true, or it was like a third of the truth.”

On how social media has helped her relationship
“Believe it or not, I see the presence of social media as a tool to sustain my current relationship. Now people get to see that this guy they thought was this hard-nosed athlete is, like, a goofy dad who loves his kids and celebrates his girlfriend.”

JLO as she is fondly called also talks about launching her first makeup collection, identifying with curvy models and more. The issue is available for purchase on November 9.
