Barely six months after the extravagant launch of her foundation, House of Freeda, which saw Governor Rochas Okorocha’s daughter, Uloma Nwosu fly in some of the biggest stars in Nigeria to Owerri, Imo State, for the two day extravaganza, Uloma Nwosu has launched her own radio and TV station.

Called Reach Media FM & TV Station, the formal unveiling of both broadcast stations got the city of Owerri into a state of frenzy as key players in the Nigerian entertainment and media industry graced the launch which took place at the Corporate Headquarters of the Reach Media Group. Some of the stars who graced the launch were 2Face Idibia who serenaded guests, Nollywood actors, Mercy Aigbe, Adunni Ade, Oge Okoye, Ebube Nwagbo, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Daniel K Daniel and Denrele.

At the launch, Rochas Okorocha commended his daughter, Uloma Nwosu who is married to the governor’s Chief of Staff, Uche Nwosu who is tipped to succeed Governor Okorocha, for believing in the development of Imo state, noting that Imo state is the next fast-growing destination spot in tourism, media, real estate, entertainment among others.

The launch of the broadcast was a lavish one despite the fact the state government owes civil servants in the state salaries, while pensioners in the state, have not been paid their pension between 30 to 54 months in addition to the nonpayment of gratuities, salaries to Ada-Palm workers, nonpayment of arrears owed lawyers in the Ministry of Justice, poor funding of local government councils among others.
