The 49th NAACP Image Awards which seeks to honor outstanding representations and achievements of people of color in motion pictures, television, music and literature in 2017 which took place yesterday saw female movie director, Ava DuVernay picking up the biggest award of the night, Entertainer of the Year while ‘Girls Trip’ which didn’t get a Golden Globes nomination won the award for Best Motion. The non televised award cum dinner was hosted by ‘Blackish star’, Anthony Anderson
