Until yesterday when Funke Akindele-Bello, the creator of Jenifa’s Diary celebrated her one year wedding anniversary to rapper, music producer and director, Abdul Rasheed-Bello otherwise known as JJc Skillz, not many were aware that her once sour relationship with colleague, Femi Adebayo had become cordial. Recall that years ago, both actors were in an intimate relationship they both struggled to deny.

But while the relationship blossomed, Femi Adebayo who was at the time married marriage, was unable to salvage his marriage which was already shaky.  Shortly after his marriage packed up, they both eventually ended things but not on a very good note. Thereafter they avoided any movie production that may bring them together as they both tried to move on with their lives. Femi Adebayo has since remarried, so also Funke Akindele-Bello who is in her second marriage now.

And for the first time since they both moved on, Femi Adebayo proved that there was no more bad blood between them, at least with him, when he openly wished Funke Akindele-Bello a happy one year wedding and birthday anniversary. He had posted on his social media, “Happy birthday to you @funkejenifaakindele wishing you many more wonderful years and happy wedding anniversary to you and that handsome man of yours. God bless you both.”

Likewise Juliana Olayode who’s unceremonious exit from the comedy series, Jenifa’s Diary raised not a few eyebrows. Judging by how close their characters were in the sitcom and also how she has now made a name for self through her character, ‘Toyo Baby’ in ‘Jenifa’s Diary’, many simply concluded that there must have been a rift between them.

Moreover, they have both quietly kept their distance from each other even though Juliana has tried, albeit unsuccessfully, to establish the fact that there was no quarrel between them. To further prove naysayers wrong, Juliana graciously wished Funke Akindele-Bello a happy birthday on her social media page while also extolling her good qualities.

“I celebrate you ma’am @funkejenifaskindele you are beautiful, strong, hardworking, intelligent, interesting, funny, lively and you are ART in every shade.. Power woman 💪 Super woman 🙌 I thank God for all He has done for you and through you and how much of a blessing you are to the world. God bless you now and always and make your Joy full.. Even though I can’t see you now I really do wish you a happy Birthday and many happy returns of your day.. With Long life and good health and sound mind He will satisfy You. I LOVE YOU, ALWAYS HAVE, ALWAYS WILL.. I can’t send my gift across to you today but I know that my prayers can reach you so I’ll do just that ❤💋”

So far, Funke Akindele-Bello has neither responded to either Femi Adebayo’s congratulatory message nor that of Juliana.

Funke Akindele-Bello got married to her director husband, Abdul Rasheed-Bello aka JJc Skillz on the 23rd of August last year in a private wedding ceremony in London. The wedding was attended by family members and close associates of the couple. They both chose their first wedding anniversary to release pictures of their white wedding.
