Recall that last week, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Adeboye’s book launch held. The book was written in honour of Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye by several authors and detailing his life – from his humble background, his education, marriage and partially, his spiritual life.

Apart from the celebration of the 40 chapter book, it was also in commemoration of Pastor Adeboye’s 75th birthday which also coincided with his 50 year marriage to his wife, Pastor Mrs Folu Adeboye

Present at the event were the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Lagos State first lady, Bolanle Ambode, captains of industry as well as heads of other religious organizations including Bishop David Oyedepo and his wife, Pastor Mrs Faith Oyedepo, Pastor Mrs Peace Okonkwo, Pastor Ituah Ighodalo etc.

Pastor Adeboye received the mantle to become the General Overseer of RCCG in 1981 by the late founder, Pa Josiah Akindayomi who later passed on. Today, the Redeemed Christian Church of God has spread to about 198 nations.
