America’s Got Talent judge, Mel B thinks her ex-husband, Stephan Belafonte’s financial demands are totally way out of line and crazy and the livid star doesn’t plan on giving in to the requests, at least not yet.
Stephan had fired off a list of financial demands shortly after his estranged wife filed for divorce. He demanded spousal support and lawyer fees. He is requesting $4,300 a month for groceries; Mel’s calculation breaks it down to $140 a day, which she says is basically the average weekly budget for a family of four. He asked for a $2,000 a month clothing budget and $11,000 for housing. Mel says he took all of his clothes with him when he moved out, and that he doesn’t need housing money since he’s staying with friends.
Again he asked for $750 a month for his cell phone plan. Mel certainly side eyed that one. Stephen claims he’s got a job but not making enough to get by. He currently works at Serafina, a pizza place he co-owns with his estranged wife. Mel wants him to get a better-paying job.
According to the former Spice Girl, “If he’s paying $750 a month for something that should cost less, then what other dumb shit has he wasted his money on? Energy stickers? He obviously can’t be trusted to make good decisions with money. Maybe give him a $100 CVS gift card every month instead. It’s probably more than he deserves.”
