’93 Days’ has again been officially selected to screen at America’s largest and most prestigious international black film festival, the Pan African Film Festival (PAFF) taking place from 9th – 20th February 2017.
PAFF, a non-profit corporation is dedicated to the promotion of cultural understanding among peoples of African descent. Every February, PAFF screens the best of Films and Arts from within the U.S. and all over the world throughout the African Diaspora and it’s no surprise ’93 Days’ was selected.
It has been a great year for ’93 Days’ which showed at international film festivals such as the Chicago International Film Festival, Toronto International Film Festival and even to international government bodies such as a private screening at the US Department of Health. The movie recently received 13 nominations for the upcoming Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA) taking place in March 2017.
The movie reminds the citizens of Nigeria of the fight and victory won against the deadly Ebola virus disease that plagued the country in 2014. Directed by Steve Gukas, ’93 Days’ starred Danny Glover, Tim Reid, Bimbo Akintola, Somkele Iyamah Idhalama, Bimbo Manuel, Gideon Okeke, Alastair McKenzie and other talented actors. The movie was produced by Steve Gukas, Bolanle Austen-Peters, Dotun Olakunri, and Pemon Rami.
