The political configuration in the camp of All Progressives Congress national leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, is taking another form and shape in Kwara State, with the shift in loyalty of the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed from the ruling party to that of the opposition.

Events in the past few weeks reveal an alliance of strange bed fellows, with critics of the state governor spearheaded by Lai Mohammed, who are loyalists of Asiwaju Tinubu forming alliance with the political group of the former Senate President Abubakar Bukola Saraki and opposition parties in the state.

This alliance, as it popularly seems, is a semblance of that of Osun state, where the immediate past governor, Engr Rauf Aregbesola is against Tinubu’s presidential ambition, by supporting Vice President Yemi Osinbajo for President and yesterday threw jabs at the party’s national leader Bola Tinubu and former national Chairman of the party Bisi Akande because of the loss of party structure to the incumbent governor of Osun State, Gboyega Oyetola.

In the same vein, supporters of the minister of information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, are not happy for losing the Kwara state APC structure to Governor AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq, and would not mind the length to fight the governor and have decided to support the Saraki Presidential campaign and party structure since Tinubu has agreed to work with the Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq at a meeting held with prominent stakeholders late last year.

The stakeholders led by former boss of Federal Character Commission (FCC), Professor Abdulraheem Oba under the aegis of Kwara for Kwara Movement issue a press statement in disagreement asking the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress(APC) Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to stay away from Kwara APC because he was one of the genesis of the party’s problem in the state.

This scenario however played itself, when the Lai Mohammed group called APC Loyal at a meeting, absentmindedly were chanting the PDP slogan at a caucus meeting, before someone drew their attention to the faux pas.

The exclusive video clip which was analyzed by our medium confirmed the surreptitious moves by the group to join PDP with other members who have refused to sheath their swords and accept the Olive branch offered by the Buni-led Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) of the All Progressives Congress.

A prominent politician in Kwara also hinted that Minister of State for Transportation, Gbemisola Ruqayyah Saraki is also in agreement with Alh. Lai Mohammed’s age-long alliance haven jointly supported the Kwara State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party and an undisclosed political with N17m to strengthen the oppositions mobilization and media push across the state.
